#1 The Jupiter Lighthouse 

Florida is well-known for its lighthouses. Some may say they’re the most revered in the nation. The Jupiter Lighthouse is an active lighthouse that can be seen at a distance of 24 miles.  

Standing 156 feet tall with 105 steps, the lighthouse was built in 1860. There is a nearby museum where kids can learn about the history of the lighthouse. The Jupiter Lighthouse is open to the public from 9 AM to 4 PM Monday – Sunday and CLOSED on Monday.

#2 Loggerhead Marine Life Center 

The Loggerhead Marine Life Center is located in Loggerhead Park in Juno Beach, Florida. It’s a sea turtle research, rehabilitation, education and conservation center.  

The center also manages the Juno Beach fishing pier which is directly across the street and offers something else for the youngsters. The Loggerhead Marine Life Center is open to the public from 10 AM – 5 PM daily. Tours start at $10/adult and $5/child under 8. 

#3 Busch Wildlife Sanctuary 

The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is another great kid-friendly spot that offers visitors the chance to see some of Florida’s critters in their natural habitat. To that end, kids can explore trails through woods and wetlands for chances to see these native creatures doing their thing.
