Located at Pier Park on L C Hilton Jr Dr in Panama City Beach, SkyWheel is an entertainment smorgasbord. It features an 18-hole miniature golf course, a SkyTrail & SkyTykes rope course, and a SkyWheel Snack Shack so everyone can refuel on treats and drinks.
Then, of course, there is a park’s namesake, the SkyWheel which carries you to a height of 200 ft giving you the perfect chance to take in all of Pier Park and Panama City Beach. It’s open from 11 AM to 10 PM daily.
#2 Zoo World Zoological Conservatory
Zoo World Zoological Conservatory is located on Front Beach Rd in Panama City Beach and focuses on conservation and features over 260 animals, programs, and shows. This cozy little zoo boasts various wild critters including lemurs, sloths, giraffes, alligators, and kangaroos.
Here kids get to feed, pet, and interact with the creatures up close. In fact, the critters will eat out of their hands while keepers tell the story of each animal. The park is open every day from 9:30 AM – 4 PM.
#3 Gulf World Marine Park
Located on Front Beach Rd in Panama City Beach, Gulf World Marine Park is open from 10 AM to 3 PM each and every day. It’s a dolphinarium that’s been open since 1970 and is one the only institutes of its kind in the US to keep rough-toothed dolphins.
Through daily shows, your youngsters can learn about sea lions and sting rays as well as dolphins. There is also a Feathers & Friends Show where trainers bring in dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and other creatures to show off their tricks.
#4 Shipwreck Island Waterpark
Located in Panama City Beach, Shipwreck Island Waterpark can’t be missed. The park features thrilling rides for kids of all ages. There is Ocean Motion Wave Pool for the tiny tots, as well as The Great Shipwreck, and Lazy River.
Big kids will get a kick out of more exciting rides such as Tree Top Drop, Zoom Flume, and Raging Rapids. Park prices start at $49.99 per person over 50 inches. Unfortunately, the park is only open from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM on Saturdays.
#5 Coconut Creek Family Fun Park
Also located on Front Beach Rd, Coconut Creek Family Fun Park features2 18-hole mini-golf courses and a football-field-sized maze. This gorgeous course allows the whole family to participate, while the imaginative obstacles keep things interesting.
With a hundred yards of space, your kids will be entertained for hours. Park hours are from 9 AM to 11:30 PM daily.
