So, let’s get you started and unpack the 5 Best Things to Do in Daytona Beach, Florida.

#1 The Beach of Daytona Beach

We just can’t discuss the best things to do in a city like Daytona Beach without talking about the beach, off the top. The location for Daytona Beach wasn’t merely picked at random.

It was chiefly picked for its 23 miles of beautiful white sandy beaches looking out onto the Atlantic Ocean. Now the beach is bordered by one of the world’s most famous Boardwalks which is home to numerous shops and restaurants, as well as outdoor street performers.

#2 Daytona Beach Boardwalk

As mentioned before, the Daytona Beach Boardwalk is almost as famous as the city itself. Originally dubbed simply “The Boardwalk,” this spot is also being perpetually upgraded with newer and more interesting shops, new restaurants, and experiences.

Some of the shops you’ll find here are Zeno’s Boardwalk Sweet Shop, Lisa’s Gift Shop, and Phillip’s Gift Shop. Nearby attractions also include Daytona Beach Bandshell and Ocean Walk Shoppes, just to start.

#3 Marine Science Center

At the Marine Science Center, you’ll discover a veritable museum of underwater life. But it’s also an underwater research and learning center.

Since the center opened in 2005, it has reportedly nursed nearly 200 species back to health. It has also released thousands of aquatic critters back into the Atlantic. Visitors here get to touch some of the inhabitants in the large touch-tank, including stingrays. There is also a nature trail with boardwalks, a bird observation tower, and many interesting exhibits.

When the current local minor-league team, the Daytona Tortugas plays here,  the stadium resonates with its rich history. The park also doubles as a concert venue.
