Edgewater Park  

Located on Main Street in Dunedin, Florida, this small, shady sitting alongside the marina features a playground, gazebo, picnic tables, and beautiful water views. John Wilson Park 

Located off Main Street in downtown Safety Harbor, Florida, John Wilson Park is a quaint little park with a gazebo. One visitor describes “Wine tasting, music, crafters, & a great atmosphere.” 

The gazebo can hold up to 60 chairs comfortably with room for over 250 on the lawn so it makes a suitable place for all sorts of venues you might encounter. John Wilson Park is open from 10 AM to 6 PM daily. 

Great Birding Trail  

Located on 29th Ave in Gulfport, Florida, the Great Birding Trail is a network of 489 sites throughout the state that have been selected for the ideal birdwatching and educational opportunities they facilitate. 

The expansive self-guided highway trail was designed to conserve nature. As such, it enhances Florida’s bird habitats by promoting birdwatching, conservation, and education.

Caladesi Island State Park 

Located across St. Joseph Sound west of Dunedin, Caladesi Island State Park is a part of the Florida State Park system. Reachable by passenger ferry or boat, Caladesi Island State Park is a great area. It’s located on a Florida Gulf Coast barrier island – remote and natural, but well-stocked with amenities.

The park is open from 8 AM to sunset each and every day of the year. Fees are as follows: 

  • $8 per vehicle (two to eight people). 
  • $4 single-occupant vehicle. 
  • $2 pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass. 

War Veterans’ Memorial Park 

Located on Bay Pines Blvd in St Petersburg, Florida War Veterans’ Memorial Park honors veterans with a landscaped Memorial Center featuring five plaques with official Armed Forces flags. There is also an equatorial sundial as well as a tank display.  

Visitors can walk the boardwalk and 120-acre nature trail. The park is open from 7 AM to 6 PM daily.
