Of course, you can’t visit the Florida Panhandle without seeing the Pensacola Lighthouse & Maritime Museum located at Pensacola Bay. It’s the third iteration of what was originally a lightship, the Aurora Borealis and it is still used by ships to navigate today.

Constructed by the Spanish in 1698 and located physically within Naval Air Station Pensacola, which was developed later around it, Fort Barrancas has a great deal of nostalgia and history. If you’re a fan of history, you’ll feel in the air here!
