#1 Pensacola, Florida Historic Sites, and Landmarks
Pensacola is a town with a lot of history and they are fortunate enough to have some of their own monuments to a bygone era with actual structures that bore witness to the evolution of American culture throughout history.
Of course, you can’t visit the Florida Panhandle without seeing the Pensacola Lighthouse & Maritime Museum located at Pensacola Bay. It’s the third iteration of what was originally a lightship, the Aurora Borealis and it is still used by ships to navigate today.
Constructed by the Spanish in 1698 and located physically within Naval Air Station Pensacola, which was developed later around it, Fort Barrancas has a great deal of nostalgia and history. If you’re a fan of history, you’ll feel in the air here!
#2 Amusement Parks of Pensacola
What trip would be complete without a visit to an amusement park? Pensacola, Florida has several exciting amusement attractions to enjoy. Splash City Amusement Park is fun for the whole family.
