Miramar Beach is often considered part of the city of Destin and know for great attractions. But, it has its own ZIP code and is in Walton County, whereas Destin is in Okaloosa County. For our purposes, however, we’ll cover both Destin and Miramar Beach.
If you’re staying in one, you’re probably going to visit the other. Let’s look at attractions & things to do in Miramar Beach, Florida.
Shopping Heaven at Silver Sands Outlets
Miramar Beach is one of the more diverse and enjoyable neighborhoods located in South Walton. However, the shopping will keep you entertained for hours, if not days.
Begin your shopping journey at Silver Sands Premium Outlets off the Emerald Coast Highway. Here you’ll discover over 100 stores with name-brand designers, restaurants, and plenty of areas for the kids to romp. And just a couple miles from Miramar Beach in Sandestin is Grand Boulevard.
Silver Sands boasts stores such as Banana Republic, Addidas, Calvin Klein, and Brooks Brothers to shart. And you’ll also discover some great chain restaurants, like Carrabba’s Italian Grill or Auntie Annies for hot buttered and fresh-baked pretzels.
Music and Wine Festivals at Grand Boulevard
At Grand Boulevard you’ll be treated to wine festivals, musicals, concerts, and more depending on what’s going on at the time. But you won’t just find entertainment here, you’ll find alfresco dining with several chain restaurants.
Grand Boulevard is an upscale outdoor lifestyle center, sporting brands like Anthropologie, Chubbies, Hemline, Lululemon, Lilly Pulitzer, and Williams Sonoma. And if it’s movies you want, hit up New Vision Theatres Boulevard 10 Cinema in Grand Boulevard. Here patrons can enjoy food and drinks along with their movie.
Dining at Grand Boulevard
It’s symbolic of Emeril’s deep appreciation and connection to the water and the first of its kind in Northwest Florida. So, Emeril’s Coastal naturally serves up New Orleans BBQ Shrimp, a Coastal Fried Seafood Platter, and Fresh Catch of the Day just to start.
Cantina Laredo boasts authentic Mexican food inspired by the cuisine of Mexico City – with a modern flair.
So try their grilled fish, chicken, or steak topped with one of their delicious signature sauces. And you can top off your meal with Cantina Laredo’s award-winning margarita, the Casa Rita.
Another Broken Egg Cafe may sound like a greasy spoon restaurant. But that assumption would but way off the mark. Located in Miramar Beach, the Broken Egg isn’t your typical breakfast, brunch, or lunch restaurant.
The Broken Egg’s extensive menu boasts chef-inspired, breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes as well as artisanal cocktails, mimosas, and a full bar.
These two shopping venues should keep you busy for days. However, there are a great deal more entertaining features around Miramar Beach, Florida. Be sure and stay up to speed on all the hot spots and sweet destinations in Florida.
